On July 19th the Yakima Bears secured a spot in the postseason with a win at Boise. The Bears finished the first half of the season with an East Division best 21-17 record. This will be the first appearance in the playoffs for the Bears since 2010.
By winning the first half of the season the Bears earned the right to choose one of two formats for first-round play in the best two out of three playoff series. The Bears have opted to start on the road on September 3rd and then return home for game two on September 4th. If a third game is necessary, the Bears will host that game as well on September 5th. Home games for the Bears in the first round will start at 7:05.
The format would stay the same for the championship round if the Bears were to advance, with the Bears starting on the road on September 7th before returning home to play on September 8th and possibly 9th.
